I'm surprised I still remember how to use Blogger
Sometimes when TheOldMan gets medical journals in the mail, I like to (try to) read them. He is a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. I was reading something about pharmacogenetics and realized after I couldn't get past the first paragraph, that I am happy that I'm not the smartest person in the house.
I grew up smart but didn't apply myself. I'm glad my kids have a parent who is smart and works hard to learn more and be his best.
I like it when he talks about lab stuff. I like to follow along for as long as possible.
Snickerdoodle has a good throwing arm. If he turns out to be good at sports, awesome. But I'm very glad he has a dad who is good at science. Hopefully, he'll be smart and good at sports. He'll be unstoppable ;) Plus he's cute.
That's all I have for now. Since I haven't blogged for awhile....Here you go

A blog about my shower curtain
Yes, about my shower curtain. Ridiculous excuse for a blog topic? Yes but it's my blog so I shall blog what I want to blog!
OK, here's the deal. I really like my shower curtain. It is clear at the top and doesn't have hooks.
It looks like this:
You can see through the top but still have privacy. That's nice for several reasons.
So that is my blog about my shower curtain. I like mine and I'm not ashamed about that.

- Today I took a shower in the afternoon and because it was sunny outside, there was enough light coming through my shower curtain that I didn't have to turn on the lights. Yay for saving energy!
- You can see if there is someone hiding in the shower. That's just good to know when you're home alone.
- When you take a shower, you can know if someone is coming into the bathroom. No Psycho-like surprise attacks. It's just good common sense to have a see through shower curtain.
So that is my blog about my shower curtain. I like mine and I'm not ashamed about that.

Being this awesome can be a burden
"The Gang" is all together this weekend so since the group includes some big guys and 3 preggos, I decided to make an indulgent dessert.
I borrowed my new friend Hilary's Pampered Chef Trifle Bowl (thanks Hil!) and concocted an easy but fancy dish.
I used a boxed devil's food cake mix and threw in some chocolate chips. To cut down on the fat and sugar (haha), I used ff/sf vanilla pudding and light whipped cream. So cake on the bottom layer then pudding then whipped cream. Then in the food processor I chopped up some Thin Mints that were in the freezer and then sprinkled that on top of the whipped cream. And then repeated the layers.
I only used 2/3rds of the cake because that was all the layers I could fit in there. I wish it was a little prettier but who cares what it looks like when it tastes that good.
So right now it is chilling in the fridge and in a few hours, hopefully, we will all be enjoying it.
We don't get together that often so we are celebrating and eating well.
